DESCRIPTION

The XYZ Simple Drill interface for CNC drilling machines combines modern design with advanced features to deliver a professional and efficient user experience. Supporting three axes (X, Y, and Z), it offers graphical visualization of drilling paths and precise control over speed and depth settings. Key features include comprehensive tool management, intelligent safety alerts, pre-execution simulation, and support for hydraulic clamps. With a multilingual user interface and compatibility with DXF and G-code files, the Radonix interface is an ideal choice for both professional and beginner operators across various industries. This system enhances productivity, minimizes errors, and provides detailed operational reports, making it a reliable solution for improving production efficiency.

Introduction

One-line value prop: Load a DXF, the software finds your holes, and the machine runs fast, accurate drill / peck / dwell cycles with guided manual tool changes and safe recovery.

Who uses it: Fabricators, HVAC & ducting, signage, general metalwork.
Works with: 3-axis gantry or table machines with a spindle/VFD (single tool, manual change).
Compatible controllers: PC-SMART 4A / PC-SMART 3AS / PC-PRO LAN 4A

Supported files: DXF and standard G-code (e.g., ArtCAM / PowerMill posts)

Machine & Kinematics

  • 3-axis contouring (X, Y, Z) with homing and soft limits; work offsets (G54–G59).

  • Z executes drill/peck/dwell cycles with clean retracts to SafeZ.

  • Optional A-axis indexing (bolt circles on turned parts) if fitted.

Control & I/O

  • Spindle ON/OFF + RPM (VFD), coolant/mist/air, clamps/fixtures, beacons, guards, Emergency.

  • Inputs for home/limits, optional Z tool-setter, door/guard, vacuum/air-OK.

  • Operator aids: Feed/Speed overrides, Pause/Resume, Single-step, Restart from line (power-loss recovery).

Software & Workflow

  • DXF-first: automatic hole recognition (circles/slots) → size groups → hit list.

  • Cycles: simple drill, peck drill (depth/step/clear), dwell (ms), counterbore/countersink depths.

  • Pattern tools: array, grid, bolt circle, along polyline; per-group feeds/RPM.

  • Clamp-aware planning with keep-out zones, inner→outer order, safe pauses for reposition.

  • 3D preview of Z moves; Floor (max depth) to protect table/fixtures.

  • Job reports: hole count, travel distance, cycle time, pauses/alarms, operator notes.

Key Capabilities
(at a glance)

Key Capabilities(at a glance)

  • DXF import with auto hole detection & sizing

  • Drill / Peck / Dwell cycles with SafeZ retracts

  • Per-group feeds/RPM, pattern generators (grid/array/bolt circle)

  • Clamp keep-outs, inner→outer sequencing, dry-run (spindle off)

  • Z tool-setter support for accurate depths (optional)

  • Restart from last G-code line after stop or power cut

  • Floor depth limit, soft limits, full safety interlocks

Standard Workflow

  1. Home X/Y/Z; set work offset (G54).

  2. Open DXF → holes are recognized and grouped by size.

  3. Choose cycle (Drill/Peck/Dwell), set depths/steps, per-group feeds & RPM.

  4. Dry-run (spindle off) to verify order, keep-outs, and SafeZ.

  5. Run. At tool change prompts: retract → stop spindle → change tool → (optional) probe ZResume.

  6. If interrupted, use Restart from line; then review and save the report.

Key Features of Radonix CNC Software

🔹 Six-axis router support:

Coordinate XYZ + up to three rotary axes (A/B/C) across wood, stone, milling, mold-making, and dental machines—up to 6 simultaneous axes.

🔹 RTCP (Rotation Tool Center Point):

Keeps the tool tip exactly on the programmed path during 5-axis rotations—no re-posting when you change head lengths or pivots.

🔹Multi-spindle heads

Run spindles synchronously or sequentially with per-spindle ON/OFF, RPM, offsets, and tool numbers.

🔹 Automatic tool changing:

Works with linear, rotary/carousel, and jack magazines—full clamp/unclamp sequencing, interlocks, tool table, and safe recovery.

🔹 Automatic Z tool offset & referencing:

Touch-setter cycles capture tool length (and optional diameter) for accurate depths and wear compensation after each change.

🔹 3D toolpath & rotary visualization:

Preview the job in true 3D with live A/B/C angles to verify reach, orientation, and motion before cutting.

🔹 Floor (depth) limit:

Enforces a maximum Z penetration so the tool never cuts past the programmed floor—protects the table, fixtures, and laminated stacks.
